pdp updates

May 21, 2010

Hi all,

Thank you for being patient while I've gotten this summer's program organized.  It's been a little more difficult getting going this year, as I've now got responsibilities with a real job.  Fortunately, my boss has allowed me to have Tuesdays and Wednesdays off throughout the summer in order to run my basketball program.

I've got my assistant coaches more or less lined up.  They're all high school girls who play competitive basketball.  They include my daughter Jamie (first team all state guard), Megan Carpenter (first team all state center), Katy (my main assistant coach, who knows my program as well as I do, if not better), Lea (plays for Niwot), and Randi (plays for Longmont).  They won't all be present for all the lessons, as they're fairly busy with summer activities, but you'll likely end up meeting all of them.

Most of the lessons will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  I expect to do several other lessons per week based primarily on my availability.  These may be on week-ends or on evenings during the week.  These will be harder to schedule very far in advance.

The fees will be $20 per student per lesson if the student goes to Longmont High School or is on the Colorado Flight club team.  Otherwise lessons will be $30 per student.  I am open to offering discounts as needed - feel free to talk to me about this.  Fees include free sports drinks during the lessons.

The last day of school for us is Wednesday, May 26.  We'll start the scheduled lessons on Tuesday, June 2nd.  The first lesson is free, and if possible I'd like to do the initial lessons prior to the start of the regularly scheduled lessons.

I am sending this email out to most of my students from last year, and from those I've gotten interest from this year.  I'd like to hear back by Monday evening if you are still interested, and if so, the quantity of students you are interested in having take lessons.  If I don't hear back from you, I'll assume you're not interested, and take you off the email list next week.

I can't right now guarantee that I'll have room for everyone who's interested, but I'm hoping I will.

Also, if you know of someone else who may be interested, feel free to forward this email along to them.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.  You can email me with them, or call (if you don't have my phone number and didn't receive an email from me, please email me to request my phone number).

Thanks!

Bruce
